
Nicole is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over twenty-five years of experience working in different areas of mental health, including community-based programs, residential, and individual therapy. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Treatment from Kean University and Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is also a certified Disaster Response Crisis Counselor for the state of New Jersey, and she has experience as a domestic violence advocate and a critical incident stress debriefer. Her eclectic therapeutic approach relies strongly on the creation of a collaborative relationship based on transparency, empowerment, and a shared desire to tackle issues in a realistic manner. Nicole works well with teens and adults coping with a wide variety of mental health issues including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma (including PTSD), relationships issues, grief, and loss. She utilizes a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and person-centered counseling.
