
Joe Lyons is a Licensed Associate Counselor who works with children, adolescents, and adults. He has experience supporting individuals struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression/grief,ADHD, life transitions, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and feelings of being stuck. His work with diverse populations allows him to meet clients wherever they are in their personal journey.
Joe uses an integrative therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s specific goals and needs. His practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, and Strengths-based approaches. In sessions, this may involve exploring how thoughts shape emotions and behaviors, identifying patterns rooted in past experiences, reflecting on meaning and purpose, and building on existing personal strengths.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Rowan University and his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Outside of counseling, Joe enjoys music, traveling, martial arts, philosophy, and spending time with family.
